Welcome to Seven Beach Aid
We are a registered charity and an online community supporting the people of Shichigahama, a town in Miyagi prefecture, north-east Japan, which was badly affected by the recent earthquake and subsequent tsunami.
There are a few ways you can learn more about what we are doing:
Our Facebook page is a really good way of seeing what’s happening now. Become our friend.
We also exhibit at a number of places and events in and around London. The exhibition includes, amongst other things, pictures taken by Christina Aiton focusing on the people living in the disaster-hit town of Shichigahama. Check out Exhibitions and daretohope.org.uk for more details.
We run a number of appeals too, to give you an opportunity to help various people affected by the tsunami.
You can now donate through PayPal, or by buying our canvas shopping bag at select London shops and restaurants.
If you’d like to get involved, then have a look at our Getting involved page.
Our six month update, including a message from Blaise Plant of Monkey Majik:
We are looking to send out a newsletter to our supporters describing briefly what’s been going on recently and what we’re planning in the near future. If you’re interested, email us and let us know.
Feel free to comment on anything as you look around our site.
